Predefined subsets of ECA data are created on a regular basis for easy bulk download. These are ZIPped-files, containing separate ASCII files for each station. A list of stations is available for each subset as well as a list of sources that are used to produce the blended series for each station.

The exact source of each observation in the blended series can be traced back from the first figure of the source ID (SOUID). A source ID starting with 9 indicates synoptical data, whereas 1 indicates participant data. Please note that ECA&D station numbers have been changed due to a major update (July 2009).
