Select the index, period and season for which you want linear trends to
be calculated and plotted on a map. Available trend periods are selected on the basis of earlier
studies. Shown here are only those stations that passed the homogeneity tests. Linear trends and
their significance are estimated using ordinary least squares and the t-test. Autocorrelation is
taken into account following Von Storch and Zwiers (1999). A full description is given in Project info >
